The apartment is not a brand-new building.. Based on website the construction was completed in 2009.. hmm.. at the first glance, it looks like an old building compared to others apartment building around it.. But it was comfy enough for us to stay there because the room has modified into a simple and modern studio apartment..
Based on the rules, we can check in at 2 PM.. A few days before my departure, I've told my host bout my flight schedule.. We took 6 am flight from Phuket (HKT) to Bangkok (BKK) and I asked him is it ok to left my luggage at his place until the check in time..
We arrived in BKK at around 8 am and waited for our baggage .. we finished at 9 am and right after that our host gave me a call.. He said that I can check in right away 😁😁😁 whoooo, we're so happy ..
We took airport link from Suvarnabhumi to Phaya Thai (฿ 45, 45 mins) , then we just had to walk around 5 to 10 minutes to reach the apartment..
The host asked my passport and got the copy of it then he brought us to 17th floor.. He showed everything inside the room -> Kitchen, washing machine, AC, bathroom, computer, wardrobe, TV, lazy chair, bedroom, etc he explained anything in English.. then he excused himself ..
My experience about my second home in Thailand:
• the host is very kind, he is quick-response, helpful and thoughtful. We caused a little accident and the host calm us and help us patiently.
• the picture about the room at AirBnB compared to the reality : 100% accurate
• transportation: the apartment placed in two BTS station (Ratchathewi and Phaya Thai), near airport link station (Phaya Thai), bus stop just right in front of the apartment, and near sansaep pier (Hua Chang Bridge) and all of those can be reach within 10 minutes by foot.. aah i will post about my sansaep experience separately 😉
• convenience store such as Max Value and 7-11 just the next door.. We bought milk and breakfast or dinner from here..
• within 15 - 20 minutes, if we turn left we can go to Pratunam Market / Platinum / Big C and if we just walk straight we can reach Siam Area (Siam Discovery)
• the price is almost the same with hotel but the facilities is more complete
Aah, there's an unexpected situation in our last 2 days there..
We just got back from Max Value and we bumped into an uncle inside the lift.. he lived in the same place with us and i just figured it out later that he lived right next to our apartment..
He asked us where we came from and gave us a warn that we lived illegally there.. he said that the place is a private residence and if we stay more than 24 hours, we should tell the immigration.. seriously we felt a little bit confused and scared but still we didn't tell our host..
